VIBRIS - Axis 2: Small scale experimental modeling
Responsible: Donatienne Leparoux (IFSTTAR)
The MUSC laboratory (Bretaudeau et al., 2011), uses a piezoelectric source and a laser interferometer on models of several decimeters. It allows to simulate at small scale some seismic measures in a perfectly controlled environment and constitutes an innovative tool, with a intermediary position between the numerical modeling and the field measurements. In the VIBRIS project, the feasibility tests are done ahead of the field measurements.
